Self-extending DNA recording with stochastic and programmed writing
Abstract Recording cellular histories requires continued information accumulation while retaining earlier records. Infinite Printer couples DNA self-extension to regeneration of a writable terminal context. A single self-targeting prime-editing guide directs repeat extension, while base editing diversifies the accessible sequence in situ. A separate configuration uses auxiliary guides for specified payload writing.
PGFT-IGR: position-guided feature transformation for incremental gait recognition
Abstract Real-world gait recognition systems must continuously enroll new users while coping with evolving gait patterns over time. Conventional model training methods cannot adapt to such ongoing changes, leading to catastrophic forgetting and performance degradation. Moreover, in practical scenarios, sensor wearing positions vary across users and usage habits (e.g., thigh or handheld).
Dietary index for gut microbiota and risk of incident gastroesophageal reflux disease: a prospective cohort analysis integrating plasma proteomics in the UK Biobank
Abstract Objectives: Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a common chronic digestive disorder, and diet is an important modifiable risk factor. The Dietary Index for Gut Microbiota (DI-GM) reflects dietary patterns considered favorable to the gut microbiota; however, the gut microbiome itself was not measured, and evidence on whether DI-GM is associated with GERD risk is limited.
Built environment effects on older adults’ health mediated by leisure activities and social participation in Dong settlements of Western Hunan
Abstract Against the dual backdrop of population aging and China’s Rural Revitalization Strategy, investigating the mechanisms through which the built environment in traditional settlements is associated with older adults’ health is of substantial significance.

Mechanical Force Promotes Mitochondrial Transfer From Macrophages to BMSCs to Enhance Bone Formation
1 Introduction Mechanical stimuli are closely associated with various essential life processes and are indispensable for maintaining biological functions [1]. Mechanosensitive cells recognise mechanical stimuli and convert these signals—such as compression [2], tension [3] or shear stress [4]—into biochemical signals, leading to adaptive functional changes. This process is known as mechanotransduction. Bone is highly metabolically active and continuously undergoes resorption and remodelling [5].

Effects of perioperative treatment of resectable adenocarcinoma of esophagogastric junction by immunotherapy (Adebrelimab) combined with chemotherapy (XELOX): protocol for a single-center, open-labeled study (AEGIS trial, neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy) |
The AEGIS study is a prospective, open-labeled, single-arm, phase II clinical trial. This study was initiated during May 2024. With an estimated inclusion period of about 1 year, the primary end point is anticipated to be achieved in May 2025. Figure 1 shows the design of the AEGIS trial. Flowchart of trial design The whole treatment period includes neoadjuvant therapy stage, surgery stage, postoperative adjuvant stage and immune maintenance stage.

Emerging Evidence on the Effects of Plant-derived MicroRNA in Colorectal Cancer:A Review
Emerging Evidence on the Effects of Plant-derived MicroRNA in Colorectal Cancer:A Review WenJing Zhang, YingYi Li, Zhen Hang Xiang, jing deng, Wen Li, Qinlu Lin, Yong Fang, Fang Liu, Jie Bai, Lin Zhang and Juan Li Abstract Food nutrition and human health is a still interesting international issue.Early detection, risk assessment and diet are vital to mitigate the load of intestinal diseases and enhance the quality of life.
Effect of Size of Protein Therapeutics on Brain Pharmacokinetics
Although limited, there is a quantifiable protein level in the central nervous system (CNS) following intravenous (IV) administration. Not only the exposure of protein therapeutics in different regions of the brain is heterogeneous, but also the distribution pattern of protein therapeutics maydiffer from each molecular weight (MW) (Figure 1). To enhance the protein delivery to one specific brain region, selecting an optimal MW would be one compatible addition to other existing delivery strategies.
Polymorphic calcium alginate microfibers assembled using programmable microfluidic field for cell regulation
Polymorphic calcium alginate microfibers assembled using programmable microfluidic field for cell regulation Effectively guiding and accurately controlling cell adhesion and growth on the surface of specific morphological materials are key issues and hot research directions for optimizing biomaterials. Herein, novel polymorphic alginate microfibers formed through microfluidic spinning technology in a single microchip are presented.
Catalyst-Free Vitrimer Elastomer based on Dimer Acid: Robust Mechanical Performance, Adaptivity and Hydrothermal Recyclability
Catalyst-Free Vitrimer Elastomer based on Dimer Acid: Robust Mechanical Performance, Adaptivity and Hydrothermal Recyclability Yingyi Li, Tuan Liu, Shuai Zhang, Lin Shao, Mingen Fei, Hui Yu and Jinwen Zhang Abstract Vegetable oil (VO) derivatives as feedstocks for elastomeric materials have been extensively studied. However, most of the resulting materials generally exhibit poor mechanical performance and lack reparability and recyclability due to the irreversible nature of the crosslink network.
China Upgrades Capacity to the Zhoushan Islands
The Zhoushan Islands are a critical and rapidly developing area situated 18.27 km (11.35 miles) off the southeast coast of China. The reliability of supply to the islands was inadequate, resulting in power failures due to the high load demand and the weak power system. In addition, this area is subject to typhoons and other natural disasters that often caused a total power outage of the 110-kV grid because there was no backup.
