Abstract The DNA methyltransferase inhibitor decitabine (DAC) is clinically approved for hematologic malignancies, but its efficacy in solid tumors, including lung cancer, remains limited. This study aimed to investigate the combined effects of the thioredoxin reductase (TrxR) inhibitor butaselen (BS/BS1801) and DAC on lung cancer cells in vitro. Human lung cancer cell lines (A549 and H1299) were used as an in vitro model. Cytotoxicity was assessed using the CCK‑8 assay.
