Association of uric acid, calcium, and creatinine with bone mineral density in adults over 50: a cross-sectional study
Abstract Aims: The relationship between uric acid (UA), calcium, creatinine, and bone mineral density (BMD) remains complex and potentially non-linear. Our objective was to explore these associations in individuals aged over 50 years, considering the interactive effects of body mass index (BMI) and renal function. Methods: Across-sectional study was conducted on 216 patients (aged ≥50 years). BMD was measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA).
