Representations of sustainability in the inaugural UN-endorsed cookbook: a corpus-based critical discourse analysis

Abstract Sustainable diets are pivotal for human health and environmental conservation. This study employs a corpus-based critical discourse analysis (CDA) to examine the construction of sustainable dietary practices in The Cookbook in Support of the United Nations: for People and Planet. Through an analysis of 75 recipes and the accompanying linguistic text, we demonstrate that the cookbook promotes a plant-forward dietary model.
