LENG8 granule regulates alternative polyadenylation in mammals
Abstract Membraneless organelles (MLOs) participate in multiple cellular processes and layers of gene regulation. Alternative polyadenylation (APA) represents a pervasive gene regulatory mechanism that generates distinct 3′ untranslated regions (UTRs) in transcripts. However, whether specific MLOs exist in mammals to regulate APA remains largely unknown. Here, we unveil a nuclear body, termed the LENG8 granule (G granule), that functions as an active hub for APA regulation.
Single-Cell Annotation and Localization via Integrating Spatial Transcriptomics Maps the Mouse Ocular Atlas and RAO Dynamics
1 Introduction Precise characterization of cellular heterogeneity and spatial organization is fundamental to understanding tissue development [1-3], homeostasis [4-6], and disease pathogenesis [7-10]. Although single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) has revolutionized the identification of diverse cell types across organs, its lack of spatial context hinders the accurate annotation of cell types and the interpretation of their functions, especially in complex or poorly characterized tissues.
