1 Introduction Developing surfaces with tailored properties is critical across a wide range of technology areas, including medical diagnostics, bioengineering, environmental systems, and industrial processing [1-4]. Among these surface properties, engineered wettability has attracted considerable interest for its broad applications. For instance, in lab-on-a-chip devices, engineered wettability patterns can guide fluid transport and accelerate diagnostic workflows [5].

ABSTRACT Graduate students provide innovative talent in engineering technology. An effective way to improve their training quality is the joint university–enterprise training (JUET); however, research is lacking about the process and its effects. This paper examines the training practices of Chinese engineering graduate students (EGS).
