Every year, roughly 1 in 60 pregnancies in the United States begins when the embryo embeds in the wrong place. While these embryos aren’t viable, they can put their mother’s life at risk. Early detection can save lives, but how can a woman know something’s not right? The First Time When Kayla and Heshy landed in Eretz Yisrael, they were still fresh newlyweds. “I was barely married, and just getting used to living so far from my family when I found out I was expecting,” Kayla recalls.
