Abstract Developing high-performance Ir-based catalysts for the selective catalytic reduction of NOx with CO (CO-SCR) under oxygen-rich conditions remains a formidable challenge. Here, we identify a hydroxyl-mediated reaction pathway over IrIn/Beta catalysts, termed the ammonium sulfate mechanism. Tailoring the support’s Si/Al ratio modulates surface hydroxyls (Si–OH–Al), governing the rapid transformation of ammonium sulfate intermediates.

Abstract The Six1 (SIX homeobox 1) gene is pivotal in renal and pulmonary development and differentiation. Its dysregulation is implicated in oncogenesis and tumor progression via enhancing cell proliferation and delaying senescence. However, whether or how it functions in the natural aging have not been investigated. To answer this question, we generated Six1 gene knockout mice using CRISPR-Cas9 technology. All Six1 biallelic knockout mice died at birth since the underdeveloped lungs.

Abstract Educational inequality affects health, but its link to healthy lifestyles among older adults in low-resource rural settings remains unclear. This study utilized baseline data from the Northern China Lifestyle Medicine Cohort (July 2023–January 2024). Adults aged 65 and older with hypertension or diabetes in the National Basic Public Health Service program were included. A composite Healthy Lifestyle Score (HLS, range 0–7) was constructed from seven behavioral indicators.
