4. Application to Human Factors Studies We now discuss how the testbed may be used to analyze human factors issues that arise in the real-life usage of MPC. The experiments conducted in this work followed a deceptive experimental approach similar to that adopted by Adhitya et al. (Ravi and Kaisare, 2020) to study alarm management systems. The approach involves hiding the true objective of the experiment so that the results are unbiased (Iqbal et al., 2018).
