Efectividad del tratamiento antirretroviral de larga duración y la estrategia I=I en la disminución de la transmisión del VIH: estudio contextual en Cuba

español The Undetectable=Untransmittable (U=U) strategy redefines HIV prevention. The objective was to evaluate the effectiveness of long-duration antiretroviral treatment (LD-ART) in a cohort of HIV users in Cuba. An observational, retrospective, multicenter study was conducted in 500 users (2024-2025), mean age 38.6 years (67% men, 33% women). Results: 95% achieved viral suppression (<50 copies/mL); 90% reduction in transmission; 88% achieved ≥95% adherence; adverse events in 12%.
