Multiplexed intravascular molecular imaging using dual-channel near-infrared fluorescence integrated with optical coherence tomography
Abstract Accurate characterization of high-risk atherosclerotic plaques requires both structural and molecular information. While integrated optical coherence tomography (OCT)/near-infrared fluorescence (NIRF) imaging enables simultaneous assessment of plaque morphology and biological activity, single-target molecular detection may be insufficient to characterize the multifactorial plaque progression.

Open access Editor's Choice Introduction COVID-19 infection during pregnancy is associated with negative health outcomes, affecting both the mother and the neonate (Celewicz et al. 2021; Ahmad et al. 2022; Jamieson and Rasmussen 2022). Although there is a possibility of some immunity from previous infections or vaccinations, COVID-19 still can lead to significant illness in the pregnant parent and pose higher risk for complications during pregnancy.
MIDAS: rapid, multiplexed molecular profiling for integrated host–pathogen analysis - Nature Communications
Abstract Addressing the need for integrated molecular analysis in complex infectious conditions requires technologies that rapidly quantify both pathogens and host responses. This is particularly relevant in sepsis research, where existing tools typically measure either microbial or host biomarkers.
Tyramide Signal Amplification for Highly Sensitive Multiplex Immunoassay based on Encoded Hydrogel Microparticles
Tyramide Signal Amplification for Highly Sensitive Multiplex Immunoassay based on Encoded Hydrogel Microparticles Proteins play a crucial role as mediators of immune regulation, homeostasis, and metabolism, making their quantification essential for understanding the disease mechanisms in biomedical research and clinical diagnostics. However, conventional methods have difficulty when detecting proteins in clinical samples in terms of sensitivity, dynamic range, and multiplex capacity.

Integrated detection and quantification of aberrant transcripts with novel splicing events
Abstract Splicing misregulation, such as the inclusion of previously unknown cryptic exons, is implicated in numerous diseases. Recent methods have increased accurate and efficient detection of such splicing alterations occurring in disease phenotypes. However, the quantification and differential analyses of non-canonical splicing alterations remains focused at a splice event level, thus preventing a complete view of the effects on the downstream transcriptomic landscape.

Outcomes of Bypass Surgery in Adult Moyamoya Disease by Onset Type
Key Points Question What are the outcomes of bypass surgery in patients with adult moyamoya disease (MMD) with varying onset types? Findings In this population-based cohort study of 19 700 patients, bypass surgery was associated with reduced risk of death and hemorrhagic stroke in hemorrhagic MMD, ischemic stroke in ischemic MMD, and death in asymptomatic MMD; however, bypass was associated with an increased risk of hemorrhagic stroke in asymptomatic MMD.

Pharmacometabolomics in Drug Disposition, Toxicity and Precision Medicine
Abstract The precision medicine initiative has driven a substantial change in the way scientists and health care practitioners think about diagnosing and treating disease. While it has long been recognized that drug response is determined by the intersection of genetic, environmental and disease factors, improvements in technology have afforded precision medicine guided dosing of drugs to improve efficacy and reduce toxicity.
Application of co‐feeds in the catalytic conversion of light alkanes to aromatics: A comprehensive review
Catalytic conversion of light alkanes (C1-C3) to aromatics offers an attractive valorization route for abundant gas resources and has been a prevalent topic of research over the past few decades. Despite considerable advancements in the understanding of these reactions, several fundamental and practical hurdles have prevented their industrial application.

Pharmacometabolomics in Drug Disposition, Toxicity, and Precision Medicine
Introduction Precision medicine is an emerging field that involves treatment of disease tailored to specific patient and disease phenotypes. With respect to drug therapy, traditional medicine treats a condition using a uniform treatment that is thought will benefit most patients. In contrast, precision medicine considers patient factors underlying disease and tailors drug therapy to the specific patient.

Discovery of highly immunogenic spleen-resident FCGR3+CD103+ cDC1s differentiated by IL-33-primed ST2+ basophils - Cellular & Molecular Immunology
Abstract Recombinant interleukin-33 (IL-33) inhibits tumor growth, but the detailed immunological mechanism is still unknown. IL-33-mediated tumor suppression did not occur in Batf3−/− mice, indicating that conventional type 1 dendritic cells (cDC1s) play a key role in IL-33-mediated antitumor immunity. A population of CD103+ cDC1s, which were barely detectable in the spleens of normal mice, increased significantly in the spleens of IL-33-treated mice.
Metabolomic identification of predictive and early biomarkers of cisplatin‐induced acute kidney injury in adult head and neck cancer patients
What is already known about this subject Nephrotoxicity is a dose-limiting complication of cisplatin treatment, resulting in acute kidney injury (AKI) in approximately a third of patients receiving cisplatin. Serum creatinine and urinary output are poor markers of kidney damage, only detectable after severe functional impairment of kidneys. What this study adds Patients who develop clinical AKI following cisplatin infusion exhibit metabolic differences compared to patients who do not.
SARS-CoV-2 in migrant worker dormitories: Geospatial epidemiology supporting outbreak management
Highlights • High density residential facilities showed heterogeneity in SARS-CoV-2 transmission. • Geospatial epidemiology helped visualise the severity of outbreak. • Real-time epidemiology guided resource allocation during outbreak management. • Apartment-style buildings reduced the rate of transmission between housing units.

Syringeable immunotherapeutic nanogel reshapes tumor microenvironment and prevents tumor metastasis and recurrence
Abstract The low response rate of current cancer immunotherapy suggests the presence of few antigen-specific T cells and a high number of immunosuppressive factors in tumor microenvironment (TME). Here, we develop a syringeable immunomodulatory multidomain nanogel (iGel) that overcomes the limitation by reprogramming of the pro-tumoral TME to antitumoral immune niches.
A fully integrated reprogrammable memristor-CMOS system for efficient multiply-accumulate operations
Abstract Memristors and memristor crossbar arrays have been widely studied for neuromorphic and other in-memory computing applications. To achieve optimal system performance, however, it is essential to integrate memristor crossbars with peripheral and control circuitry.
Relationship between hemodynamic parameters and severity of ischemia-induced left ventricular wall thickening during cardiopulmonary resuscitation of consistent quality
Abstract Ischemia-induced left ventricular (LV) wall thickening compromises the hemodynamic effectiveness of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). However, accurate assessment of the severity of ischemia-induced LV wall thickening during CPR is challenging. We investigated, in a swine model, whether hemodynamic parameters, including end-tidal carbon dioxide (ETCO2) level, are linearly associated with the severity of ischemia-induced LV wall thickening during CPR of consistent quality.
