The palmar carpal ligament, also known as the volar carpal ligament, is a fibrous structure that forms the roof of Guyon's canal. Proximally, it is continuous with the deep fascia of the forearm and attaches to the pisiform, pisiform ligamentous complex, and a leaf of the flexor retinaculum over the hamate. It should not be confused with the flexor retinaculum, which forms the floor of Guyon's canal.

Periosteal osteosarcomas are intermediate-grade bone-forming neoplasms originating on the bony surface in strong association, typically underneath the periosteum. Periosteal osteosarcomas are the second most common type of surface-based osteosarcoma after parosteal osteosarcoma and account for 1-2% of all osteosarcomas 1-4. Periosteal osteosarcomas are seen in a wide age range from the first to the seventh decade with a peak in the second decade of life 1.

Canal of Nuck hernias are rare and occur in female children. They are caused by a failure of complete obliteration of the canal of Nuckwith a connection to the peritoneal cavity and transmitted intra-abdominal contents (e.g. bowel, omentum, fluid, ovary, fallopian tube and/or urinary bladder). Ultrasound is the preferred first-line modality in the evaluation of inguinal masses. Ultrasound Canal of Nuck hernias typically present as an inguinal mass that can extend to the labia majora.
