Pathological changes in ventricular false chordae tendineae in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy
Objective. To investigate the pathological changes in ventricular false chordae tendineae in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). Methods. Gross anatomy, histology, immuno histochemistry, and immunofluorescence techniques were employed to examine the anatomical features, tissue composition, and the distribution of blood and lymphatic vessels in the false chordae tendineae of the left and right ventricles from six DCM patients and one normal heart.
Cross-omics association of small extracellular vesicle miRNAs and metabolites in seminal plasma of idiopathic male infertility
Abstract Background: Idiopathic male infertility (IMI) accounts for 30%–40% of male infertility cases, yet the molecular networks associated with seminal plasma dysfunction and non-invasive biomarkers remain largely unclear. This study aimed to preliminarily explore the transcriptomic and metabolomic alterations in IMI seminal plasma through cross-omics integration, and to screen for exploratory candidate discriminators among the metabolites.
Association of intrauterine platelet-rich plasma infusion before embryo transfer with endometrial response and live birth: a cohort study
Abstract Background: Intrauterine platelet-rich plasma (PRP) has been proposed as an adjunctive intervention for patients with thin endometrium or recurrent implantation failure before embryo transfer, but evidence remains limited by heterogeneous protocols and small studies. Objective: To evaluate whether intrauterine PRP infusion before embryo transfer is associated with improved endometrial response and pregnancy outcomes, particularly live birth per embryo-transfer (ET) cycle.
Genetic variants in HELB contribute to premature ovarian insufficiency and early age of natural menopause
Abstract Premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) is a complex reproductive disorder with a strong genetic component. The known POI causative genes currently account for only a small fraction of cases. In this study, we conducted whole-exome sequencing and identified a rare heterozygous missense variant in DNA helicase B (HELB) (c.349G>T, p.Asp117Tyr) in a Chinese family with POI and early menopause.
A novel prognostic model for ovarian cancer: construction, validation, and therapeutic insights
Abstract Background: Ovarian cancer (OV) is the most lethal gynaecological malignancy worldwide. Palmitoylation, a reversible post-translational lipid modification, has been implicated in tumourigenesis, growth, metastasis and apoptosis across multiple cancers. However, its impact on immune infiltration, therapeutic response and clinical outcomes in ovarian cancer remains insufficiently explored.

The Effects of Co-injecting Human iPSC-Derived Cardiomyocytes/Pre-epicardial Cells into Cryoinjured Rat Hearts
Objectives: Previously, pre-epicardial cells derived from human-induced pluripotent stem cells successfully recapitulated important developmental effects, including the induction of cardiomyocyte proliferation and compaction in vitro. In this study, we tested the use of pre-epicardial cells (PECs) in cardiomyocyte (CM) therapy for cryoinjured rat hearts. Materials and methods: Adult male Sprague Dawley rats (250–300g) were administered cyclosporin 3 days prior to surgery.

'home during sickness' integrates intimate domestic environments within hospital facilities
re-envisioning the boundaries between private living spaces and intensive care units during hospitalization, architects yuexin yu and dessery dai introduce the ‘home during sickness’ project. the proposal presents an intermix of intimate home environments and hospital facilities, in order to avoid the separation between patients in critical condition and their close relatives.
