Development of an insecticidal bait for combined use with netting to control the invasive red‐necked longhorn beetle, Aromia bungii, emerging from tree trunks
BACKGROUND Invasive wood-boring pests cause significant damage to trees worldwide. Here we designed an insecticidal bait device to attract and kill adult red-necked longhorn beetles (Aromia bungii; Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) that emerge from tree trunks and are captured in netting installed around the trunks. RESULTS Insecticides were screened in laboratory dietary toxicity tests and attractants were evaluated in net-cage choice tests.
Passage of ribosomes through microsprayer increases functional activity – Implications for activity assays in time-resolved cryo-EM
Single-particle cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) has revolutionized structural biology by allowing scientists to visualize biological macromolecules in their native states at high resolutions.
Correction: Hierarchy of Dysfunction Related to Dressing Performance in Stroke Patients: A Path Analysis Study
Fig 2. Modified model of the path diagram with the results of parameter estimates. Fig 2 is incorrect. The arrow from “Affected L/L sensory function (item of SIAS)” to “Dressing performance (FIM ® item)” is incorrect. The authors have provided a corrected version here. Hierarchy of Dysfunction Related to Dressing Performance in Stroke Patients: A Path Analysis Study
Previous reports indicated that various dysfunctions caused by stroke affect the level of independence in dressing. These dysfunctions can be hierarchical, and these effects on dressing performance can be complicated in stroke patients.
