Short-chain fatty acid enrichment, TLR4/MyD88/p-JNK inhibition, and gut metabolic modulation: a triple mechanism by which the probiotic ameliorates colorectal cancer
Abstract Chronic intestinal inflammation is a major risk factor for colorectal cancer (CRC). This study investigated the therapeutic potential of the probiotic Streptococcus thermophilus NCU074001 (ST) in a mouse model of colitis-associated CRC. ST supplementation reduced tumor number, preserved colon length, and alleviated clinical disease activity.

Synthetic food pigment sunset yellow potentiates food allergy via immune dysregulation and intestinal barrier dysfunction
Abstract Emerging evidence from clinical and experimental studies has suggested potential associations between artificial food pigments like Sunset Yellow (SY) and allergic reactions, though their mechanistic contributions remain unclear. This study investigated the immunological and epithelial effects of the synthetic pigment SY using a translational approach integrating mouse model assays.
Tomatidine modulatesfibrosis-related markers by promoting autophagy in hepatic stellate cells via the ERK/MAPK-mTOR-ULK1 signaling pathway
Abstract Liver fibrosis is a progressive pathological process triggered by chronic liver disorders, which may progress to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) if left untreated. Currently, there are no specific therapeutic agents for liver fibrosis, highlighting an urgent need for novel pharmacological strategies.
Preparation and characterization of novel nanoparticles using waxy and non‐waxy proso millet protein, NaCas and EGCG for efficient delivery of Cur
BACKGROUND Proso millet protein (PMP) has attracted increasing attention as a plant-based carrier for hydrophobic bioactives, yet its poor stability and solubility limit its application. RESULTS In this study, waxy (W-YS1) and non-waxy (N-YM2) PMP were used to fabricate Cur–EGCG–NaCas–P-1 (2) complex nanoparticles via anti-solvent precipitation for curcumin (Cur) delivery.

Dietary Sodium Nitrite Promotes Food Allergy through Dendritic Cell-Mediated Immune Disruption
Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! Although sodium nitrite (SN) is broadly used as a food preservative, its immunomodulatory effects on food allergy pathogenesis remain poorly understood. This study examined how subchronic SN exposure influences dendritic cell (DC)-mediated sensitization and T-cell polarization in an Ovalbumin (OVA)-induced mouse food allergy (FA) model.
Clinicopathological Characteristics and Outcomes of Lupus Nephritis Patients With Thrombocytopenia: A Single‐Center Retrospective Study
1 Introduction The clinical presentation of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) can involve one or more organs with the skin, joints, hematological systems, and kidneys being major sites of organ disease in Chinese SLE patients. Approximately 50% of patients will develop LN [1]. LN is one of the most common and serious manifestations of SLE, contributing significantly to morbidity and mortality of SLE [2].

Systemic Immunomodulatory Effects of Codonopsis pilosula Glucofructan on S180 Solid-Tumor-Bearing Mice
2. Results 2.1. Physiological Indicators of S180-Bearing Mice The physiological indicators, namely thymus and spleen indices, tumor weights, and inhibitory rates, of S180-bearing mice in these groups were measured and calculated, and the results are shown in Figure 1.
Regional Characteristics of the Climatic Response of Tree-Ring Maximum Density in the Northern Hemisphere
1. Introduction The maximum latewood density (MXD) of tree rings holds considerable potential for global climate reconstruction owing to its greater sensitivity to temperature in the growing season compared with that of tree-ring width (RW) [1]. The MXD has a stronger and more robust climatic signal compared with the signal from tree-ring widths and is reasonably independent of species and site ecology [2].

The Protective Effects of Water-Soluble Alginic Acid on the N-Terminal of Thymopentin
1. Introduction Alginic acid (AA) is a natural polysaccharide aldehyde acid which is composed of β-d-mannuronic acid (M) and α-l-guronuronic acid (G) formed by 1, 4-linkage with no regular repeating units and is commonly found in the cell walls of brown algae [1,2]. AA is known as one of the most famous polysaccharides due to its characteristics, including being biocompatible, biodegradable, non-toxic, and low-cost [3,4].

Snowpack Dynamics Influence Tree Growth and Signals in Tree Rings of Tianshan Mountain, Central Asia
Abstract : Snow is an important source of freshwater in the Tianshan Mountains of Central Asia. This study established 18 tree ring width chronologies and compound chronologies and analyzed the effects of snow depth, measured both by remote sensing and at meteorological stations, on the radial growth of spruce trees. The results showed that the established standard chronology of tree ring width is suitable for the analysis of tree ring climatology.
Total Streamflow Variation for the Upper Catchment of Bosten Lake Basin in China Inferred from Tree-Ring Width Records
1. Introduction Inland lakes, evaporating dishes in arid and semi-arid areas, are not only the sensitive factors for climate change but also indicators of ecosystems [1,2]. The temporal and spatial variation of water storage of lakes objectively reflects the process of regional water cycle and water balance [3].

Protection of menhaden oil from oxidation in Pickering emulsion-based delivery systems with α-lactalbumin-chitosan colloidal nanoparticle In this study, α-lactalbumin-chitosan (ALA–CHI) colloidal nanoparticles were spontaneously formed mainly through electrostatic interactions for stabilizing Pickering emulsion loaded with health-beneficial but unstable menhaden oil.
Reconfigurable photonic binary phase-coded microwave signal generator with fundamental/subharmonic carrier frequency
Abstract A reconfigurable photonic binary phase-coded microwave signal generator with fundamental/subharmonic carrier frequency is proposed and experimentally investigated based on a dual-electrode dual parallel Mach–Zehnder modulator (DE-DPMZM). The local oscillator (LO) signal and coding signal are intensity modulated and phase modulated, respectively, on the two arms of the DE-DPMZM.
