Lithium, the lightest metal, is in high demand due to its extensive applications in glass, ceramics, and especially lithium-ion batteries. (1−3) Despite its technological relevance, the supply of lithium from brines and ores remains constrained. (4,5) Over the past few decades, significant research efforts have been dedicated to developing more efficient lithium extraction methods. For example, solar evaporation and phosphate precipitation have been used to extract lithium from brines.
