1 Introduction Mental health symptoms are highly prevalent among caregivers of young children in low-resource regions. In World Bank categorized low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), approximately one in four women experiences perinatal depressive symptoms; one in five experiences postnatal depressive symptoms [1, 2]; and 22% are affected by generalized anxiety disorder in the perinatal period [3].
