ProSci-246 with dietary guidance alters gut microbiota and metabolism in childhood obesity: a randomized trial
Abstract Childhood obesity remains a pressing global health challenge with few effective therapeutic strategies. This study combined a cross-sectional analysis of 99 children (49 obese, 50 healthy) with a 3-month, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 95 children with obesity to investigate the role of gut microbiota in pediatric obesity and evaluate Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis ProSci-246 as a microbiota-targeted intervention.
An endometrial immune atlas across the female menstrual cycle reveals lymphoid aggregates compromise pregnancy
|
Abstract The human endometrial immune landscape is critical for homeostasis and pregnancy success, yet its dynamic remodeling across the menstrual cycle and in pathology remains poorly characterized. Here, we construct a comprehensive immune cell atlas of the human endometrium, profiling 53 healthy women and 34 chronic endometritis (CE) patients across precisely staged menstrual cycle phases.

Cross-species comparative spatial transcriptomics of hair follicle-T cell interactions identifies conserved drivers of cutaneous lupus erythematosus skin disease and associated hair loss
|
Abstract Cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE) encompasses several autoimmune entities characterized by a T cell-rich infiltrate and alopecia. Here, we perform spatial transcriptomics across three mammalian species to characterize potential T cell-hair follicle communication pathways in the microanatomical niche. In mice, adoptive transfer of either autoreactive CD4 + /OT2 or CD8 + /OT1 T results in skin disease with 35% gene expression overlap.
