Subgroup testing for change-plane Cox models in heterogeneous credit risk data
Highlights • A novel testing method is proposed for the change-plane Cox model. • Numerical studies show the proposed method outperforms existing approaches. • The asymptotic distributions of the proposed test statistic are derived. Abstract Change-plane analysis has emerged as an effective tool to detect subgroups with distinct effects on the response of interest. Notably, the change-plane Cox model has gained significance in the subgroup analysis of survival data.
Phosphine-mediated deoxygenative synthesis of amides from carboxylic acids and N-chloro compounds
Introduction Amides are among the most prevalent structural units in natural products, owing to the vital role of amide bonds in protein formation [1]. Over 25 % of known pharmaceutical molecules, including Tylenol and Atorvastatin, feature functional amide groups [2].
Effects of different feeding strategies on egg production, eggshell quality, tibial mass and intestinal calcium transporter expression in laying hens
The authors thank the staff of the Department of Animal Science and Technology at Yangzhou University for their assistance with the experiments. No potential conflict of interest was reported by the author(s). XH conducted the experiments and analysed the data. XH and ZY drafted the manuscript. XW, HY and ZW designed the experiments and performed statistical analyses. WC and RZ performed the laboratory analysis. All authors have read and approved the final manuscript.

Facile preparation of self-healing, adhesive and patterned gels via frontal polymerization for wearable sensing and actuating applications
Intelligent gel represents one of the most research interests owing to their distinct feature of stimulus–response behavior under various environmental changes. It has been constituted prodigious promise especially in state-of-art wearable sensors, which finds tremendous applications in various areas such as activity monitoring [1], [2], [3], motion analysis [4], health tracking [5] and soft robotics [6].
Microplastics in rocky shore mollusks of different feeding habits: An assessment of sentinel performance
Microplastics (MPs) are particles (1 μm–5 mm) that have become a widespread form of pollution in natural environments (Osman et al., 2023). Originated from primary or secondary sources, such as direct discharge and fragmentation of larger plastic utensils, respectively (Akdemir and Gedik, 2023), MPs have been detected in all environmental matrices, including air (Nizamali et al., 2023), water (Nunes et al., 2023a), sediments, biota (Nunes et al., 2023b) and soil (Surendran et al., 2023).
Identifying canonical and replicable multi‐scale intrinsic connectivity networks in 100k+ resting‐state fMRI datasets
1 INTRODUCTION Resting-state functional MRI (rsfMRI) studies have significantly advanced our knowledge of both typical and disordered brain functional organization by evaluating the functional interactions across the brain using the blood-oxygenation-level-dependent (BOLD) signal.

KamNet: An integrated spatiotemporal deep neural network for rare event searches in KamLAND-Zen
Abstract Rare event searches allow us to search for new physics at energy scales inaccessible with other means by leveraging specialized large-mass detectors. Machine learning provides a new tool to maximize the information provided by these detectors. The information is sparse, which forces these algorithms to start from the lowest level data and exploit all symmetries in the detector to produce results.
Search for the Majorana Nature of Neutrinos in the Inverted Mass Ordering Region with KamLAND-Zen
Abstract The KamLAND-Zen experiment has provided stringent constraints on the neutrinoless double-beta (0νββ) decay half-life in Xe136 using a xenon-loaded liquid scintillator. We report an improved search using an upgraded detector with almost double the amount of xenon and an ultralow radioactivity container, corresponding to an exposure of 970 kg yr of Xe136.
