Mechanosensors Collaborate to Regulate DNA Damage Repair in Hepatocellular Carcinoma Open Access
Open figure viewer Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) and hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy are key interventional therapies for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and oxaliplatin is their most commonly used chemotherapeutic agent (1). Oxaliplatin exerts its antitumor effects by disrupting DNA replication and transcription and inducing double-strand breaks (DSB; ref. 2). However, oxaliplatin resistance is still an unsolved challenge in the treatment of advanced HCC (3).

Introduction We introduce DeepSeek-Prover-V1.5, an open-source language model designed for theorem proving in Lean 4, which enhances DeepSeek-Prover-V1 by optimizing both training and inference processes. Pre-trained on DeepSeekMath-Base with specialization in formal mathematical languages, the model undergoes supervised fine-tuning using an enhanced formal theorem proving dataset derived from DeepSeek-Prover-V1.

Identification of complement factor H variants that predispose to pre‐eclampsia: A genetic and functional study
RESEARCH ARTICLE A. I. Lokki and Z. Ren contributed equally to this study. A. Java and S. Meri contributed equally to this study. Abstract Objective The objective of the study was to investigate the role of genetic variants in complement proteins in pre-eclampsia. Design In a case–control study involving 609 cases and 2092 controls, five rare variants in complement factor H (CFH) were identified in women with severe and complicated pre-eclampsia. No variants were identified in controls.

Fission dynamics, dissipation, and clustering at finite temperature
Abstract The saddle-to-scission dynamics of the induced fission process is explored using a microscopic finite-temperature model based on time-dependent nuclear density functional theory (TDDFT), that allows one to follow the evolution of local temperature along fission trajectories. Starting from a temperature that corresponds to the experimental excitation energy of the compound system, the model propagates nucleons along isentropic paths toward scission.
Cold stress triggers freezing tolerance in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) via hormone regulation and transcription of related genes
Research Article ABSTRACT Low temperatures limit the geographic distribution and yield of plants. Hormones play an important role in coordinating the growth and development of plants and their tolerance to low temperatures. However, the mechanisms by which hormones affect plant resistance to extreme cold stress in the natural environment are still unclear.
Dynamics of rotation in chiral nuclei
Abstract The dynamics of chiral nuclei is investigated for the first time with the time-dependent and tilted axis cranking covariant density functional theories on a three-dimensional space lattice in a microscopic and self-consistent way. The experimental energies of the two pairs of the chiral doublet bands in Nd135 are well reproduced without any adjustable parameters beyond the well-defined density functional.
M015 A PATIENT WITH AN ALLERGIC REACTION TO THE PFIZER COVID-19 VACCINE SUBSEQUENTLY TOLERATES JOHNSON&JOHNSON VACCINATION
Messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines have been critical to combating COVID-19. While most patients tolerate these vaccines, a small number of individuals experience immediate reactions consistent with mast cell degranulation. Given this is the first time mRNA vaccine technology has been used on this scale, many questions remain about the evaluation and management of these patients.
The Rewards and Challenges of Interdisciplinary Collaborations
Main Text Insight from, and dialog between, multiple scientific disciplines is accepted as a necessity when trying to understand complex scientific questions. An important prerequisite of finding answers to these queries, however, is the ability to effectively organize and manage diverse research teams. Zhiyong Jason Ren (@zjasonren), an environmental engineer and interdisciplinary project lead guru, has learned that it takes courage, convergence, and common goals to find success.

Association between climate, pollution and hospitalization for pemphigus in the USA
Background Little is known about the impact of ultraviolet exposure, climate factors and pollutants on pemphigus. Aim To determine whether these factors are associated with pemphigus exacerbation resulting in hospitalization.
Hospitalization, inpatient burden and comorbidities associated with bullous pemphigoid in the U.S.A.
The prevalence of hospitalization for BP increased from 25·84 to 32·60 cases per million inpatients from 2002 to 2012. In multivariate logistic regression models with stepwise selection, increasing age, nonwhite ethnicity, higher median household income, being insured with Medicare or Medicaid, and increasing number of chronic conditions were all associated with hospitalization for BP (P < 0·05 for all).
