Most web hosting services have gotten more expensive lately due to AI-driven hardware price increases, and that applies to reseller hosting. Another reason for the price hikes is that cPanel licensing has become more expensive, and the price keeps going up every year. There are cheaper (and free) alternative control panels, but cPanel is the one I use and prefer. Most customers also prefer cPanel, so it’s not surprising that most reseller hosts stick with it.

I’ve been looking at reseller hosting threads on Reddit to see what other users recommend, but there are barely any good recommendations for reseller hosts in particular. There are plenty of discussions about shared hosting providers though, and some of those have reseller plans as well. I’ve tried lots of hosts over the years, so here are my two cents: My favorite cPanel reseller hosting providers that have a good reputation on Reddit are: Shock Hosting, ChemiCloud, VeeroTech and KnownHost.

cPanel is my favorite web hosting control panel because it has an intuitive interface that is very easy and efficient to work with. I rarely use a web hosting service that has any other control panel. The problem with most cPanel hosting services is that they start at a low cost (initial one-time discount), then it gets real expensive when renewing the plan. And you don’t often get any discount on monthly plans.
