It's breaking news as it happens and allowing people to share information more quickly and more broadly than before.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

Reporting what you see as accurately as possible and packaging it in a way others can understand

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

iPhone, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, Chartbeat, Twitter, Facebook, Photoshop, Bridge, Tumblr

Who do you wish followed you?

Nick Bilton seems like a fun guy.

Why did you become a journalist?

I want to see everything and I want to tell as many people as I can about it.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I was Opinion Editor of The Forge my freshman year, Editor in Chief sophomore and junior years and News and Photo Editor my senior year.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

My story on Cuban cars because it's a subject a lot of car enthusiasts are always interested in. And I took the pictures.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Learn tactics from both old and new media. Somewhere between the two philosophies is a type of journalism we should really be practicing.
