Zach Rosenthal’s Biography

I am a fourth-year (Senior) at the University of Virginia, double-majoring in Leadership & Public Policy and Media Studies, alongside a minor in Government.

I've been privileged enough to write for U.Va's student-run newspaper, The Cavalier Daily, for four years. I've taken on various roles within the news team, but will settle down and be a Senior Writer for my final year with the paper.

I have had the amazing opportunity to get seven bylines in at the Washington Post as a college student, all with the Capital Weather Gang, which functions as the paper's weather section.

Over this past summer, I've been thankful to get to write a lot of stories for AccuWeather and have further built my skills as a journalist, writing informative briefs on the coronavirus, the weather, and weather-adjacent pieces.

Lastly, I also interned with the Council on Foreign Relations, working my public policy education in alongside my interest in journalism. I'm thrilled to have worked to update, edit, and publish high-quality, informative briefs on the world's most important issues.
