How is social media changing news?
Social media can both be the top of the media funnel and the bottom. It feeds much of the tip lines and is largely the platform upon which news is consumed, as well.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Being able to give a speech to a packed auditorium and have an intimate conversation at the same time.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
All of them and some you've never heard of that were built by our team.
Who do you wish followed you?
I don't seek followers. I prefer to have mutual respect.
Why did you become a journalist?
I always wanted to be a writer, but I ended up in the business behind the journalists first. I simply write because I enjoy it!
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I was busy getting into too much trouble as a high schooler. Perhaps writing for the school newspaper could have saved me a lot of headaches!
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Drinks with friends or lounging in the sun with my wife and mini pitbull.
