There’s a sequence in director Jay Chandrasekhar’s “Super Troopers 3” that acts as a synecdoche for the film’s charms as a whole. State trooper MacIntyre “Mac” Womack (Steve Lemme) discovers a conspiracy at a maple syrup factory, and his assailants, played by Jon Rudnitsky and Chace Crawford, encase him in a vat of maple syrup until it solidifies, like Han Solo in carbonite.
