Objective: Patients with locally advanced breast cancer may require surgery to improve their quality of life and relieve troublesome symptoms such as bleeding or discharge from the tumour, independent of the overall prognosis and disease severity. Surgery for this indication may leave extensive chest wall defects posing a reconstructive challenge.

We present a case series of non-lactating female patients with recurrent breast abscesses. Some cases were refractory to conservative management. Each patient was identified to have hyperprolactinaemia, requiring further investigations for the underlying pathology.
