Fringe phase separation method for composite shearing interferograms using two-dimensional continuous wavelet transform with sequential ridge extraction
Single-shot lateral shearing interferometry enables the acquisition of a composite interferogram containing both x- and y-direction shearing interference fringes in a single exposure using a polarization camera. However, accurately separating the fringe phases corresponding to different shearing directions remains challenging. To address this issue, a fringe phase separation method based on the two-dimensional continuous wavelet transform (2D-CWT) is proposed.

Multimode interference methane sensor based on a ZIF-8/PDMS composite film
A multimode interference methane sensor based on a ZIF-8/PDMS composite film is proposed. The sensing principle is that the refractive index of the ZIF-8/PDMS composite film changes when it adsorbs methane, leading to a measurable optical path difference during the coupling of the cladding higher-order modes and the fundamental mode in the multimode interference fiber (MMI).

Manganese‐Catalyzed Hydrogenative Desulfurization of Thioamides
Abstract Earth-abundant transition metal catalysis has emerged as an important alternative to noble transition metal catalysis in hydrogenation reactions. However, there has been no Earth-abundant transition metal catalyzed hydrogenation of thioamides reported so far, presumably due to the poisoning of catalysts by sulfur-containing molecules. Herein, we described the first manganese-catalyzed hydrogenative desulfurization of thioamides to amines or imines.
High Concentrations of Atmospheric Isocyanic Acid (HNCO) Produced from Secondary Sources in China
Isocyanic acid (HNCO) is a potentially toxic atmospheric pollutant, whose atmospheric concentrations are hypothesized to be linked to adverse health effects. An earlier model study estimated that concentrations of isocyanic acid in China are highest around the world. However, measurements of isocyanic acid in ambient air have not been available in China.
Who Will Win the Race to Rule Crypto Payments?
For many people, cryptocurrencies remain an abstract idea removed from everyday life. Most people aren’t even aware of the technology. But one application that can push cryptocurrencies into the mainstream is payments. Making it easy and safe for consumers and businesses to pay bills, buy and sell stuff, and deposit and withdraw funds offer significant opportunities for the technology. The global payments market, currently dominated by traditional banks and financial institutions, is enormous.
