Tailoring Carbonate Electrolytes toward Fast-Charging and Wide-Temperature Sodium-Ion Full Batteries Click to copy article link Article link copied!
Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! The large-scale multiscenario application of sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) remains constrained by critical challenges, such as suboptimal fast-charging performance and poor temperature adaptability. The ideal electrolyte must simultaneously possess intrinsic nonflammability, rapid charge-transfer kinetics, and robust interphases, yet balancing these key parameters poses significant challenges.
Spatio-temporal variations of heavy metal(loid)s and their influencing factors in surface sediments of Daya Bay, South China Sea
Abstract To elucidate the spatiotemporal dynamics and driving mechanisms of heavy metal (loid)s (HMs) in coastal systems, this study investigated the surface sediments from Daya Bay across four seasons. Results indicated that the average HM concentrations (mg/kg) decreased in the order of Zn (65.35) > Pb (28.66) > Cu (13.19) > As (7.06) > Hg (0.073) > Cd (0.058), with Pb, As and Hg exhibiting significant seasonal heterogeneity (p < 0.05).

An Amino-trans-Dihydrido Cobalt(III) Catalyst for Asymmetric Hydrogenation Reactions
Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! The development and fundamental chemistry of an amino-trans-dihydrido Co(III) catalyst for asymmetric hydrogenation (AH) reactions are described in this work. With an enantiopure tetradentate (S,S)-amino-ene(amido)diphosphine ligand defining the equatorial plane, axial trans-dihydrido coordination donors are incorporated into a cobalt(III) center with an octahedral coordination geometry.

PRESSED FLOWER works downstream of ASYMMETRIC LEAVES 2 to affect sepal flatness in Arabidopsis
Abstract The development of flattened organs such as leaves and sepals is essential for proper plant function. While much research has focused on leaf flatness, little is known about how sepals achieve flat organ morphology.

Spin-Orbit Charge-Transfer Intersystem Crossing in Heavy-Atom-Free Orthogonal Covalent Boron-Dipyrromethene Heterodimers
Spin-Orbit Charge-Transfer Intersystem Crossing in Heavy-Atom-Free Orthogonal Covalent Boron-Dipyrromethene Heterodimers Zhuoran Kuang, Zeming Wang, Lin Ma, Hongmei Zhao, Yan Wan, Xian-Fu Zhang, Yang Li and Andong Xia Abstract Boron-dipyrromethene (BODIPY) derivatives have been advocated to be prospective organic-based triplet photosensitizers. Since the yield of the parent BODIPY is low in triplet generation, heavy atoms are widely used to improve the triplet yield.
