Rabi‐like Splitting in Acoustic Cavity Coupled with Membrane‐type Metasurface

Rabi-like splitting effect in acoustics is demonstrated in a hybrid metasurface. The hybrid metasurface is composed of a membrane-type acoustic metasurface and a Fabry-Perot (F-P) cavity. It is found that the transmission resonance of the F-P cavity is modulated to spectrum with two peaks around the resonant frequencies. The transmission valley in the middle of the two transmission peaks caused by the anti-resonance effect, the phenomenon is similar to the Rabi splitting effect in quantum physics.
