1 Introduction Stroke is the second leading cause of adult mortality worldwide, with ischemic stroke accounting for approximately 84% of all strokes [1]. Excessive activation of microglia after stroke exacerbates neuroinflammatory damage [1, 2]. Current treatments for ischemic stroke mainly rely on thrombolysis with drugs such as rt-PA and physical thrombectomy [3, 4], with limited options to alleviate poststroke neuroinflammatory damage, significantly affecting patient prognosis [5].
