Age-period-cohort analysis of pulmonary tuberculosis epidemiological trends from 2005 to 2024 and forecasts for 2035 in Sichuan Province, China
Abstract Background: Pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) remains a significant public health challenge in Sichuan, China and globally. This study evaluated the effects of age, period, and cohort on PTB reported incidence in Sichuan and predicted the incidence from 2025 to 2035. The goal was to provide evidence to support the enhancement of PTB prevention and control strategies.
