6. Conclusions and Outlook In this paper, we have surveyed the evolution of MCS, which leverages advancements in nanophotonics technology and computational methods. In contrast to traditional, bulkier spectrometers, MCS represent a significant leap in miniaturization while retaining high performance. The majority of current computational methods operate within the framework of CS theory, employing convex optimization techniques for the reconstruction of the original spectral signal.
