What tools and software do you use to do your job?
My phone and camera...with an extra battery charger as well.
What's your favorite social network?
That's like asking me to choose a favorite child. Twitter - as I have 147,000 followers and can reach more , but FB for length of post.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did not. I was a theater geek in high school and didn't discover that I could write until well into my fifties.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Any time is a good time!
What's your favorite drink?
Prosecco, champagne, cava...anything with bubbles.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In an airport or a hotel room.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
So many people think that travel writing means that I'm on vacation for weeks at a time. They don't see the tight schedules, etc.
