1 Introduction Bisphosphonates (BP) are widely used to manage bone-related diseases such as osteoporosis, and metastatic diseases associated with malignant tumors [1]. For almost two decades, oral surgeons have tried to prevent or rehabilitate its side effect, osteonecrosis. When it became clear that drugs other than BP also caused osteonecrosis, it began to be called Medication-Related Osteonecrosis of the Jaw (MRONJ) [1].
