Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has prepared a draft law to implement an escrow system for housing sales. Minister of Construction and Housing-Communal Services, Sherzod Hidayatov, announced this on March 5 during a press conference in Tashkent. The document has been submitted to the government and subsequently to parliament, where it is currently under discussion in the Oliy Majlis. At present, the escrow system operates on a voluntary basis.

The presentation highlighted that in some sectors, scientific research is increasingly detached from practical application. Many large-scale agricultural and water projects have underutilized research and expert insights, reducing their effectiveness.

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new 2.2 km road and bridge over the Amudarya River will soon be constructed in Karakalpakstan, connecting Nukus with the Takhiytash district to reduce traffic congestion. On the Nukus–Chimbay–Takhtakupir (D234) route, spanning 4 km, a flyover is also planned. These projects are part of the socio-economic development programs for the region in 2026 and beyond, approved by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
