Figure 3 a shows the XRD pattern of the WSe 2 /PPy nanocomposite and reveals the crystalline nature of the WSe 2 component, where sharp diffraction peaks at 2θ values of approximately 13.6°, 31.0°, 37.9°, 42.1°, 47.7°, and 56.1° correspond to the (002), (100), (101), (103), (006), and (105) planes, respectively, matching well with the hexagonal phase of WSe 2 (JCPDS No. 00-038-1388).
