ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - A basketball fundraiser tomorrow at Augustana College will do much more than just provide good exercise. It's being held to support two local families. Professional basketball skills coach Jordan Delp is hosting it. The event is open to kids from kindergarten to high school. The camp will teach them basics like dribbling, shooting, rebounding, and defense. It's from 1 - 3 p.m. at the Carver Center on the campus of Augustana College. It's $25 to go and you can register at the door.

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Quad Cities Police Departments have been dealing with an uptick in car thefts recently. Rock Island Criminal Investigations Division Commander Lieutenant Tim McCloud joined us in studio to talk more about his staff is handling it. He says last year, 84% of vehicle burglaries involved vehicles that were unlocked. 74% of the vehicles stolen were either left unlocked, running, or the keys were left inside the vehicle. There are some simple tips to make sure you don't become a victim.

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce is working on a new method of building a strong future for the entire region. It starts on a small scale with what's called Quad Cities Big Table. Hola America Publisher Tar Macias joined us to talk more about these upcoming meetings. On April 20 and 21, 5,000 people will get together in small groups to talk about specific actions they can take to improve the community. Anyone can participate and there are two ways to get involved.
