Aaron Bayne
VerifiedAaron Bayne’s Biography
With a background in film studies, I branched out to cover video games across a wide range of formats. I have written for a number of publications including the BBC, Turtle Beach, NME and more, with experience in news writing, game reviews, guides and features. I now specialise in guides writing over at GGRecon where I work full-time.
For over a year and a half I hosted and managed a film podcast (The Film Aspect), and have produced a couple of gaming-based audio documentary episodes (Talking Games with Bayne). On top of this, I have experience guesting on podcasts, with appearances on PalKeys, The Stories That Made Us and multiple appearances on JumpCut Play's PLAYCast,
Lastly, I have produced and presented a series of videos for BBC The Social - some of which have been featured on the main BBC homepage - and I manage JumpCut Play's YouTube channel alongside two others.
I have a deep love for exploring video games in a more serious light, yet still, I strive to have fun with my work. Whether it be chatting games on a podcast or diving into the social impact of an element of a video game through an extensive feature, I will approach all with the same level of passion, professionalism, and openness.
