News is quicker, more accessible and less varied than ever before. A journalist must be as unique as possible in spite of this.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
To be open-minded and willing to listen. A journalist does not choose if something is important, but listens to everything as if it is.

Why did you become a journalist?
I love telling stories and giving ordinary people a voice that often goes unheard.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I worked as the Editor-in-Chief for The King's Tab while at university, managing editors and writers, as well as writing and editing myself.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Either my London album cover tour because of my love for music, or my end of year quiz for UKTN because of my prior lack of knowledge.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Spread your knowledge. Journalism is the best career to be a jack of all trades and master of none, but if you have a niche: use it!

What's the worst pitch you ever got?
I've never had a bad pitch. Some may have been boring but all of them have helped me improve as a writer and as a journalist.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Listening to records, engrossed in a book or out for a run

Music: that its people who don't know what they're talking about. Tech: that its lifeless and boring
