As Jewish faculty at the University of Utah, both current and emeritus, and speaking only for ourselves and not for the university, we oppose the decision of the university to enter into a partnership with Ariel University in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, as covered in a recent Tribune article. Ariel University is located in the West Bank settlement of Ariel, established in the 1970s on Palestinian land as part of a campaign to settle and ultimately annex the West Bank to Israel.
