The Rip, Netflix’s new crime/action thriller, knows exactly what it is, and that’s a good thing. Filmmaker Joe Carnahan directs this taut and tense thriller that provides an enjoyable film for the start of the new year. The story from Carnahan and Michael McGrale, which is inspired by true events, follows the members of a Miami-based tactical narcotics team investigating a tip about a large sum of money in a house.

Coulson still lives! Even though it’s been a little over five years since the series finale of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., fans packed NYCC’s Main Stage at the Javits Center to celebrate the show with a “small but active fan base.” Moderated by Ashley V. Robinson, the reunion panel featured Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, and Clark Gregg, who shared their experiences working on the series.

If you were a kid of the ’90s or early 2000s and played couch co-op with your friends or family there’s a good chance you have fond memories of the Backyard Sports franchise. Perhaps, you’re like me and as you entered teenage years or young adulthood memories of the series faded away. I, and probably many other millennials my age, had a nostalgia rush when the franchise popped up back in the news last year.
