Tow crews continue recovery after 40-vehicle pileup on I-80

STOCKTON, Iowa (KWQC) - Crews are still picking up the pieces after more than 40 vehicles crashed in a chain-reaction pileup on I-80 Saturday near West Liberty. Brother’s Towing and Recovery responded to the crash, with clearing the wreckage taking hours. Crews are still working to recover vehicles. Josh Little, shop manager at Brother’s Towing & Recovery, said the crash was unlike anything his experienced drivers had seen.

13-month-old makes it home for the holidays after life-saving heart transplant, 268 days in ICU

FULTON, Ill. (KWQC/Gray News) - An Illinois family is celebrating the holidays at home this year after their baby girl returned home following a life-saving heart transplant. Josie Jane Hansen was born with an undiagnosed heart condition. At 2½ months old, she went into cardiac arrest twice and was flown to Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago. She survived four open-heart surgeries, including a full heart transplant on Oct. 6, and spent 268 days connected to machines in the cardiac ICU.
