Local, state and federal authorities are still investigating a series of shootings in May throughout Duplin and Sampson counties. As of press time on Monday, there were still no arrests. From May 15-20, shootings into occupied dwellings were reported in Wallace, Warsaw, Beulaville, Magnolia and Kenansville. Another shooting, thought to be related, killed a 59-year-old woman in Turkey, just across the Duplin-Sampson line.
