ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (7News) — Six people were shot early Saturday morning at an illegal car meet in an industrial area near Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, police said. Officers responded around 4:40 a.m. Saturday to the 1300 block of Charwood Road after receiving reports of gunfire and a large crowd dispersing, according to Anne Arundel County police spokesman Justin Mulcahy.

The commission’s attorney argued before Judge Krystal Alves that the county council’s move to reallocate the funds is unlawful. The lawyer said the commission is a state agency funded by a portion of property taxes under state law, and that the county has no legal authority to claim the money. An attorney for the county countered that state law allows the transfer, setting up a decision the court will resolve. Commission member Manuel Geraldo said he believes the law is clear.
