Light north winds are also helping keep humidity levels in check, making for a pleasant start to the day. Expect mostly sunny skies with just a few passing clouds throughout the day.

Good morning and happy Friday. We're starting the day with another warm and breezy morning across northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas. Temperatures are already in the upper 70s, and south winds will continue to usher in hot, humid air throughout the day. Most of the area will remain dry this morning, although a weak disturbance moving across eastern Nebraska and Iowa could bring a few isolated showers or sprinkles to our far northern counties, especially near the Iowa border, around lunchtime.

Good morning and happy Thursday. Another hot and humid day is underway across northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas. Temperatures are starting in the upper 70s to low 80s, while south winds continue to gust between 15 and 25 mph, keeping warm, humid air in place. Cloud cover will gradually increase throughout the day, but it won't do much to limit the heat. High temperatures will climb into the low to middle 90s this afternoon, with heat index values once again reaching 105 to 110 degrees.
