Every time I tell someone that I’m a writer, I see their face fall. Admittedly, in the age of AI, it’s not seen as the most lucrative career path. I’ve often felt ashamed to share it, and when I do, the conversations usually follow the same formula. They’d ask the dreaded questions: “Won’t that just get outsourced to AI? Can you really make a career out of that? Why would you get a degree in something everyone can do?” And in turn, I would rush to defend my degree.

Graduation FOMO Is Real… and I’m Feeling It

It’s hard not to feel jealous every time I open LinkedIn right now. The job market for the Class of 2026 is horrendous. On one side, I’m constantly seeing headlines about how it’s one of the hardest markets for new grads in years; on the other side, I see people I know landing incredible jobs and opportunities, and I can’t help but wonder what they have that I don’t. It’s gotten to the point where I’m even missing opportunities I didn’t want in the first place.

Full spoilers ahead… you’ve been warned! To all my fellow CatGlass shippers: once again, we lost. And honestly? I’m tired of the egregious way Netflix continues to fumble queer romances. Yes, yes, I knew going into the season they were building up Kitty and Minho to parallel Lara Jean and Peter, but honestly, I think the story would have been significantly more interesting if we didn’t get the exact same To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before format, just made for TV instead.
