1. Introduction Smart sustainable cities (SSC) have been acknowledged globally in response to rapid urbanisation and enormous consumption which require attention and collaboration from diverse professions []. The United Nations [] estimated that 90 per cent of the increased population would live in cities by 2050. Globally, urban areas consume about 70 per cent of the world’s natural resources, which significantly contribute to greenhouse gas emissions [].
