About Last Night: Milk x Burton Rager 2k19
World 5.24.2019 By Milk Staff Photos By Jay Lopez Last night, two epic crews came together for yet another kick-ass evening on the Milk rooftop: Milk x Burton. We kicked off summer the only way we know how…with a rager that brought the whole fam together. With legendary DJ Stretch Armstrong providing the perfect throwback summer soundtrack, drinks flowing from two bars, and apps for days (a fan favorite being the grilled cheese and Van Leeuwen ice cream), we set the tone of summer 2k19.
Paris Hilton, Charles Oakley, and Why Stand-Up Sucks With The Bodega Boys
Bodega Boys 3.12.2019 It was just a few short months ago that Desus Nice and THE KID MERO dropped by to record episode #133 of the Bodega Boys podcast in the Milk JamRoom. Beginning with that first episode (that’s “4skinBoyz”; listen here), they’ve brought the brand to Milk HQ faithfully every Monday since.

In The Studio With Courtyard LA: A New Breed of Vintage
Fashion 12.19.2018 By Charlotte Marsalese Welcome to the best of the west. This week, we paid a visit to Alia Meagan, mother of the vintage clothing collective and brand Courtyard LA, in their sunny HQ in the Fashion District of downtown Los Angeles. Courtyard started as a shop on Instagram for curated and rare vintage finds—that sell out within minutes of dropping—and has grown into a full-on brand.

About Last Night: Jazzelle, AKA Uglyworldwide, Took Over The Milk JamRoom
World 12.3.2018 About Last Night: Jazzelle, AKA Uglyworldwide, Took Over The Milk JamRoom Last year we celebrated Jazzelle’s bday with a major early 2000’s vibe rager with Milk Makeup. To keep up the tradition, we went back down to the Milk basement for a second round JamRoom rager this weekend to ring in 23 the right way. Jazzelle, AKA @uglyworldwide, hit a major mid 2000-s theme once again, and the vibes were strong.
This Week in Women: Blame Games And Extremism
Pipe bomb scares, troops being sent to America’s Southern border, tweets about “liberal mobs,” and more. If you feel like we’re living in times of deepening polarity, you’re not alone. More examples of viewpoints that divided came from Megyn Kelly’s uninformed “blackface” comments on her morning show on Tuesday and the Trump administration’s depressing attack on transgender people’s rights.
Your Weekend Playlist, Courtesy of Q Money
Cleveland rapper Q Money, à la Gee Money’s character in the 1991 movie “New Jack City,” is steadily making a name for himself in the rap realm since the independent release of his first project, Win, last year. The album features “Work,” a high energy, in-your-face-style song accompanied by a viral music video that garnered over six millions views on Youtube.
Your Weekend Playlist, Courtesy of Roy Woods
Last February, PAPER Magazine deemed OVO Sound artist Roy Woods, “Canada’s R&B heartthrob”—and we would definitely have to second that. The Brampton-bred singer and rapper doesn’t shy away from sharing personal life hurdles when it comes to his lyrics that cover everything from heartbreak to dealing with substance abuse. His velvety, slow-wining music features some of Toronto’s biggest talents, such as dvsn, PARTYNEXTDOOR, duo Majid Jordan, and, of course, The Six’s finest—Drake.
Mura Masa Has Something Unexpected Up His Sleeve
Mura Masa’s videos will make your head spin—literally. Watch “Complicated” and you’ll notice your POV start turning, round and round it goes, vibeing with the singer’s follow-up duet with Nao to their 2015 track “Firefly” until you’re not sure what’s up or down. There’s a figurative version of this head-spinning aesthetic, too—and it comes in the form of a tendency to always be switching things up, and keeping us on our toes.
Your Weekend Playlist, Courtesy of Diggy Simmons
On one of the balmiest days NYC has seen this summer, I met up with Diggy Simmons at the Standard Hotel in the heart of the Meatpacking District. He’s a little bit late due to car troubles (he drives a vintage), but in a hop, skip, and a hasty Uber ride over, he finally arrives — sincere apologies in tow. Despite the fact that he’s late, it’s hot, and we’re sitting in an unfamiliar hotel room, Simmons knows how to put everyone at ease.
