AUGUSTA, Ga. (WFXG) - Emergency care in Augusta may be decided at Tuesday's special-called meeting of the commission. This week, four commissioners voted against the presented contract with service provider Gold Cross and one abstained. FOX54 reached out to all of those commissioners to find out why, and what their plans are for the future of emergency care in Richmond County. Commissioner Stacy Pulliam voted against the contract as presented.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WFXG) - FOX54 reported an Augusta man was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to enticement of a minor for sexual activity in Columbia, S.C. The crime was discovered when a Richland County patrol deputy found the suspect with the child in his car at a suspicious location. In the investigation, the FBI found his involvement with the child had been concealed in a much less suspicious place--within the apps on both of their smart phones.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WFXG) - Many registered voters in Georgia's House District 129 may recall voting for a state representative very recently. The late Henry Wayne Howard secured the democratic nomination in May but passed away before the general election in November. Because the incumbent was to run unopposed in November, this democratic primary will determine who takes the seat in his place.
