SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) - After months of work, a newly renovated greenhouse for Evergreen Life Services is ready for a fresh season, and so are the people who get to use it. A ribbon cutting celebrated the completion of the project, which was restored through a partnership between Evergreen Life Services and Leadership Sherman. Evergreen Life Services provides support and services for people with disabilities.

New details about arrest of kidnapping suspect in Atoka

ATOKA COUNTY, Okla. (KTEN) — What started with a phone call from Texas ended with a felony traffic stop in Atoka County and the safe recovery of a child. The search began around 3 p.m. on May 28th, when Oklahoma Highway Patrol dispatch received a call from the U.S. Marshals Service in Texas. "They called and asked us if we would have anyone available that could go try to locate a little girl that had been kidnapped by a family member," OHP dispatcher Courtney Watts recalled.

77-year-old man killed in Atoka County crash

ATOKA COUNTY, Okla. (KTEN) — An Oklahoma man is dead after a crash Wednesday morning in Atoka County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Troopers said the crash happened around 11:26 a.m. on Voca Road. Charles Lanig of Caney was driving west when his vehicle left the road, struck a cement culvert, and rolled before coming to a stop, according to the OHP report. Lanig, 77, was thrown from the vehicle during the crash. He was pronounced dead from his injuries.
